Safely transporting a wig on a road trip

Got this road trip coming up next month about 5 to 6 hours and I'd really prefer not to wear my wig the whole drive, it gets uncomfortable after a while, especially when I'm just in the car for hours. I thought about putting it on a stand and setting it in the back seat, but I don't trust it not to slide around or get messed up. I'd love to hear how others transport their wigs for longer trips without damaging the shape or style.
Any tips please

Try placing your wig on a styrofoam or canvas head, then secure it inside a sturdy box or travel case with tissue paper for cushioning. That will help keep the shape intact and prevent sliding around. Or maybe put it inside a silk or satin bag with a hairnet, that works great too. Hope this helps!

Pack the wig in a wig box or a hard case. You could also put it on a wig stand inside the box so it keeps its shape.
