I'm 35 and for the past several years I've watched my hair going thin and eventually falling, which seems weird to me. My work isn't extremely stressful and I don't know of any close family members that have been in this situation. Every older man from my mother's and father's side have grown old with heads full of hair. I'm different, but by the time I reach retirement I'll probably be as bald as a bulb before I even retire. What could be the source for this and most importantly what can I do to slow down the process or ideally if possible reverse it?

This is completely normal. To be honest with you, that age is even a little late for alopecia to come in. I know someone who's only in his early 20's and already taking Finasteride. Maybe try it as well? It works for him at least. Now he's got curly long hair.

The source can be from many things, like hormonal changes, nutritional deficiency, medical conditions, or even stress. you need to see the doctor for this, it's the important first step. they'll run some tests, so they can diagnose the exact tye of hair lost

I'm just checking in and wondering how you're doing with everything. @JonathanIsHere gave the best advice about seeing a doctor and a dermatologist is the specialist who can properly diagnose the cause of your hair loss.
